Wire Thread Insert (tanged)

Wire Thread Insert (tanged)

Wire thread inserts are used to increase thread strength and performance. They can be used to repair a stripped threaded hole, or provide increased durability to a threaded hole.

Wire thread inserts are often known as helical inserts, or Helicoil inserts. This variation is 'tanged', which means there is a notch at the end of the coil. 'Tangless' inserts are also available, the difference is in insertion mechanism only.
