Often referred to as HSFG (high strength friction grip) nuts, structural nuts works in tandem with structural bolts and washers to achieve an extremely tight clamping force.

Countersunk structural bolts are generally available in the form "HR" (BS EN 14399-3 & 14399-7) and "HV" (BS EN 14399-4).
