Socket Set Screw (Dog Point)

Socket Set Screw (Dog Point)

Also known as a grub screw, socket set screws are fully threaded with no head, and contain an internal hexagon socket. This means they can tightly clamp objects together in situations where a bolt and nut wouldn't fit.

This variation comes with a dog point, in order words the non-socket end of the screw has a narrow shaft that protrudes from the end. Other common variations include flat point, cone point, and cup point.

Standards: DIN 915; ISO 4028; ASME B18.3
