Philidas nuts are part of the all-metal locking nut family, and are designed to stay firmly in place even in environment with lots of vibration, or lots of heat.
The Philidas Turret Nut is one variation, but is also available as a Philidas Industrial Nut, or a Philidas Mark V Nut.

Stainless Steel A2/304
A general purpose stainless steel which strikes a good balance between corrosion-resistance and cost.
Stainless Steel A4/316
Often referred to as 'marine grade' stainless steel due to it's excellent anti-corrosion properties, making it great for saltwater resistance.
